Slow Stitch Workshop

Fancy a couple of hours of slowing down, switching off and making something with
your hands?

This gentle, mindful workshop is a chance to experiment with fabric scraps, colour
and simple hand stitching. Using reclaimed textiles, you'll create your own decorative
stitched patch - a little piece of textile art that can be turned into a small work of art
or used to mend or personalise clothing.

There's no right or wrong way to do it. You can take your time, play with different
fabrics and stitches, and enjoy the process.

You'll have a chance to:
 Try slow stitching as a relaxing, mindful activity
 Combine fabric scraps in interesting ways
 Learn how to take your thread for a walk

 Experiment with colour, texture and composition
 Create something out of nothing, for its own sake

This is a lovely session for beginners, people who feel a bit nervous about sewing, or
anyone who fancies spending some creative time with fabric and thread.
You'll leave with your own finished patch or small textile artwork - and hopefully a
new love of slow stitching too.
