Hemline Fabric Stabiliser Lightweight - Water Soluble

Transparent fabric stabiliser is a great embroidery backing. Use with delicate/stretchable fabrics and high pile fabrics. Washes away completely in water, without leaving a sticky residue or stiffened fabric.

1 sheet: 73 x 100cm/29 x 40in. Made from 85% PVA and 15% Glycerin, and therefore not polluting to water supply.

Instructions: 

1. Hoop a layer underneath fabrics when machine or hand embroidering

2. Hoop a layer on top of pile fabrics when working machine or hand embroidery

3. Carefully cut away any excess water soluble stabiliser and then rinse the project in cool water to wash away the remaining stabiliser.

4. To help retain some shape in a lacy project, only rinse a little. Leaving some stabiliser residue in the finished product to help with shaping.

5. Create your own motifs by hooping up 2/3 layers of stabiliser, stitch your own design, filling in all areas. Remove from hoop and rinse.
